My high-altitude climbing journey began in 2018 with Kilimanjaro and Elbrus. In 2019 I reached the summits of Everest and Lhotse during the same expedition. Broad Peak followed in 2021, but the descent became a fight for survival. The injury and amputation that followed changed my life and the way I approached the mountains.
I returned to high-altitude climbing and reached the summit of K2 in 2022. That return is part of a wider story of recovery and adapting to life with a physical disability, which I also share through talks and my forthcoming book. The individual expedition pages describe these experiences in more detail.
This record includes completed climbs and attempts that ended before the summit. Denali and Aconcagua remain attempts, not completed Seven Summits. My five completed peaks in that challenge are Kilimanjaro in Africa, Elbrus in Europe, Everest in Asia, Vinson in Antarctica and Carstensz Pyramid in Oceania. The expedition list below also includes other mountains I have climbed.
